This is a fast kayak in the water going faster than an all fiberglass Solstice GT I used last year. It has a nice curvey seat and comes with a rudder and a paddle. Also has the leg braces for doing eskimo rolls and also acomidates a skirt for waves. The r
udder hub has been upgraded to aluminum barstock making it stronger and sun proof from rudders with nylon barstock. It's make of a material called Tuff-lite which is a lighter scratch resistant poly. For sale is a Puffin Swift 14 ft folding kayak made by Pakboat. It has anodized orange aluminum poles, red PVC hull, and yellow 150 denier deck. This one is a few years old; Pakboat has some some slightly updated versions of this same boat at REI. I as
sume Pakboat will still support repairs/replacement parts. I own too many folding kayaks (two Feathercrafts, an ARFEQ, and a Pakboat XT 15), so this one must go. Email me with any questions as I can compare the ride to other boats I've paddled, but I think this is an exceptional craft for the money. I've taken it out on Lake Washington on very choppy days and it's performed well. Although it has NOT been used in salt water, I would not hesitate to take it into the Sound.

Our Thule Roof Rack hold two bikes and one Kayak.
We purchased it new from REI in 2006.
It fits on any Volvo V70 XC 2001-2010 and any other similar sized car with existing roof railings.
We sold the car and it does not work with our now much smaller ca
r. I am selling it for less than half what I bought it for.
This is it:
Base Rack, which mounts to the roof railings that were already on the car. Not sure which Thule model we purchased. (about $250-$325 new at REI)
Two bike racks called Thule Criterium Upright Bike Mount (new 160.00 each x 2 at REI)
One kayak rack called Thule 835xt Hull-A-Port (new $154.00 at REI)

Building the entire hull out of Airalite made the Sundance 12.0 kayak lighter than the polyethylene version and makes for a more durable and easy to manuever kayak. It is important to note that the Sundance model is no longer sold with the Airalite option, that option is now sold as the Tribute model for $1200, the selling price point I have listed is a great entry into a very nice kayak. My kayak was made in 2006 has minor scratches but looks and performs very well-it is blue and white in color.

Great river runner; stable, all round kayak, for anyone from beginner to expert.
Big water : 3 trips down

Technical Rivers: Many trips down the N. Fork American (Chamberlain Falls) - gauge flows from 1.2 to 3.5
Great on the lower T
Multi-day trips on the Rogue.
A couple of people have asked about using this on a lake - Yes, you can, But if you flip it over and don't have a spray skirt and know to roll, you'll have to drag it to the shore to get back in.
Whether you're just learning, or an expert, this kayak is for running rivers.
